Today was front squats and pullups! Hmmm...has anyone every had to rub Bengay on their hands??? Oh me me me me!!! OMG my hands hurt yikes!!! But I know it'll be well worth it in the end!!
My mini goal is to lose 1" around my hips belly thighs and arms by Oct 18 which is my birthday!! I'm pushing myself and I'm expecting big results. I finally put away that doggone scale because the numbers on it were going up instead of down. But I expected that because I've read and heard so many people say that Crossfit will cause you to gain weight...at first! I haven't lifted weights like this in a while...matter of fact, the highest I squated with today was 70lbs...woot woot!!! Maybe that's why my hands are sore lol!! When Mo (one of the instructors at my "box") showed me how to properly do a front squat with the bar from the "wall". Basically I'm supposed to use 2 fingers and lay the bar on my collar bone and point my elbows out as far as I could. Well, when I did that, I kept gettin' a pain in my right hand! My wrists feel ok, but my hands feel like someone took a hammer and just beat the my mid hand :-D Anyway, it's all worth it...as they say...no pain, no gain....right?!?!? :-/

Day 5
Hmmmm....I'm hangin' in there...and it's only Day 5!!! Today was NOT an awesome day!! I did 4r 15 of "Cindy" which included 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 air squats. Oh, I was good on the air squats, but the doggone pushups kicked my BUTT!!!! So we had to do AMRAP (as many reps as possible) within 8 mins. But the next time, I'm gonna kick "Cindy's" Butt!!!
I'm gonna start Paleo eating on Sunday Woohoo!! The plan is to do Paleo for 3 weeks, actually thru my birthday Oct 18. But, of course, if I have success and I've lost a significant amount of inches and I feel better, I'll definitely continue it. I'm excited to see what type of results I get. I can't wait!! :-)

Sumo!! And Day Four
Today was a good day at Crossfit!! I was the only female today, but I pushed thru like a champ....Beast Mode!!!
The WOD today was Kettlebell lift....20 for every minute...total 10mins....I did 8 rounds of 20 within 10mins...and boy oh boy was I feelin' it! It wasn't too tough...but next time I'll use a heavier kettlebell. Today I used 26lbs, so I'll step it up next time!
I actually got on the scale this evening after my shower just to see what was up...well, big mistake!!! I shouldn't have even looked at the scale. For one thing, I have no clue if I gained or lost since I didn't weigh myself before I started crossfit last Monday. AND I could be gaining a teenie tiny bit of muscle, so I really don't know! But I've decided to stay away from the scale and focus on increasing my weights and burning more calories during crossfit.
Oh, and by the way, I'm gonna take a stab at Paleo eating! Mainly, Paleo is meats, veggies, little fruit, very little grains and legumes. I'm doing as much research now as I can before I make the move to start it on Sunday. With my PCOS, Paleo may be a very well needed add on to my daily eating and workouts. So we'll see how this goes!!

Day Three...Soreness is Better!!
The funny thing about going to the box today was I tried my best to talk myself out of it!!! My "brother" wasn't able to go with me today, and I actually didn't wanna go by myself! But you know what, I'm sooooo excited that I did...and I feel so good about going! Because CrossFit is about improving yourself and not worrying about competing against anyone else, I HAD to go today!! If I start slacking off now, I'll slack off next week, then the week after...and then the little amount of time I've spent at the box would've been a waste! And I definitely don't want that.
Hmmm...anyway, I learned CLEAN JERK properly today, thanks to Blaine (owner of my box). It was me and 2 other young ladies. The technique seemed funny looking at first, but once I got the hang of it, I felt like a BEAST...like an Olympian...well, maybe not yet, but the feeling of getting my 'jerk on' was a big accomplishment.
I met Heather! She was beastin' it with the jerks AND with the ring toe touches! I asked her how long has she been crossfitting and she said since November last year! I said "You go girl!" I'd like to get to that point, but I'm so doggone worried about whether I can afford it monthly or not. But thankfully, for now, I'm gonna take FULL advantage of the 3mths I bought and KILL IT!!
I go back on Monday! I actually went ahead and scheduled out for the next 2 weeks!! And yes, I'm gonna stick with it!! WootWoot!!!

Day Two...And Soooo Freakin' Sore!!! Yikes!!
I'm really getting in to the whole crossfit hysteria!! I really like it and it's only been 2 days lol!! I'm gonna post some pics at some point, right now i'm just focused on improving my times!! I'm lovin' it!!!
Some of the soreness is finally wearing off, but I think that's due to a little ibuprofen and actually going to the box tonight! I appreciate the soreness though...I know that sounds kinda odd, but it's actually helping me stay focused so I won't feel the soreness anymore LOL!! Anyhoo, I'll be back on Friday!! WootWoot!!

Day One
Soooo.....to go along with my running, I FINALLY decided to signup for Crossfit!! WooHoo!! Today was the first day, and it wasn't all that I expected. I've read a lotta blogs and info about "beginning" crossfit, and many of the posts say it's not about weightloss...but about improving your personal strength! Well, it definitely is about beating yourself as far as "the next day, I'm gonna do more REPS than yesterday!!"
So, it's about 8:30pm. and I'm calling it a night! I'll post "beginning" pics tomorrow! I'll be back!! :-)
