Day Six

Today was front squats and pullups! Hmmm...has anyone every had to rub Bengay on their hands??? Oh me me me me!!! OMG my hands hurt yikes!!! But I know it'll be well worth it in the end!!
My mini goal is to lose 1" around my hips belly thighs and arms by Oct 18 which is my birthday!! I'm pushing myself and I'm expecting big results. I finally put away that doggone scale because the numbers on it were going up instead of down. But I expected that because I've read and heard so many people say that Crossfit will cause you to gain weight...at first! I haven't lifted weights like this in a while...matter of fact, the highest I squated with today was 70lbs...woot woot!!! Maybe that's why my hands are sore lol!! When Mo (one of the instructors at my "box") showed me how to properly do a front squat with the bar from the "wall". Basically I'm supposed to use 2 fingers and lay the bar on my collar bone and point my elbows out as far as I could. Well, when I did that, I kept gettin' a pain in my right hand! My wrists feel ok, but my hands feel like someone took a hammer and just beat the my mid hand :-D Anyway, it's all worth it...as they say...no pain, no gain....right?!?!? :-/
